Council planning record

Works to trees in the garden of The Abbey Rectory, Crowland Conservation Area. Laburnum adjacent to the south western side of the driveway :remove.(A poor specimen which grows close to a field maple, it's removal will allow the field maple space to grow). Maple adjacent to the south western side of the driveway :crown lift to give clearance over driveway entrance.(Maintenance of tree to enhance access to the driveway). Two conifers(Cypress sp.)adjacent to the southern fence-line at the western end of the garden to the east of The Abbey Rectory. :to remove. (Their removal will open up the garden and give views towards the Abbey, there is some concern that they are situated too close to the Abbey Rectory). Cherry in the vicinity of the northern boundary in the central portion of the garden to the east of The Abbey Rectory. :either crown lift not exceeding 3 metres, and reshape crown to suit, or (remove, if approved by the Lincoln Diocese).(The pruning works will enable access beneath the canopy, and help prevent the tree out-growing it's space, complete removal will provide more space for alternative planting).
