Decision & conditions

Refused
REFUSED Decision Notice
Planning conditions
  1. The application proposes an unsustainable form of development in seeking to create a new independent dwelling in a countryside location. The proposed development does not meet any policy exceptions to development in the countryside as defined in Policy 7 (Countryside) or Policy 50 (Housing Development Proposals) which only permit housing in countryside locations when a scheme relates to a need identified within current national policy (a rural enterprise dwelling or a One Planet Development) or the conversion of an appropriate building. The intensification of residential use in this area is considered to result in unacceptable impacts on the special qualities of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park and unsustainable travel patterns conflicting with Policies 1 (National Park Purposes and Duty), 8 (Special Qualities), 14 (Conservation and enhancement of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park), 29 (Sustainable Design) and 59 (Sustainable Transport).
