  3. Decided: ACCEPTNP26/0944

Mature/Ancient ash tree on border of two properties: Chris and Sanjeev are property owners. Height 27m; spread 20m. Multiple limb tears over the last 15 years or so; lots of decay. Cavity at about 10m with jackdaws nesting in it. Diameter at breast height 1m 54. No dieback, some dead limbs as expected. I expect the tree is hollow for quite a distance judging by the cavities and sound test. Work required - reduce back to a monolith of 10-15m and leave to continue its decline safely.

Second sycamore is very poorly formed, appears to have windblown at some point many years ago. 12m high, coppice to retain bank intergrity.

Originally planted as a hedge by the previous owner, now very overgrown with limited reduction options available as they are very sparse lower down and no longer provide much of a screen to the road. Work requested: Fell the double line of conifers and replant with a more suitable species/mixed native hedging.

What these statistics cover

These figures describe applications collected by PlanningTrack for Peak District National Park Authority, across all dates currently available. They are a partial dataset, rather than an authority-wide performance measure. The date range does not establish continuous historical coverage.

The approval percentage is approved records divided by approved plus refused records. Pending, withdrawn and unknown outcomes are excluded. No percentage is shown until there is an approved or refused record.
