Council planning record

Application under Regulation 3 of the T & C P General Regulations 1992 notification by Devon County Council in respect of Block 06, an Elliott unit, in use at the school as the main assembly hall, dining hall and gymnasium. The proposal is to strip off the existing plywood cladding and replace with a Siberian larch or western red cedar T&G cladding, which will match the cladding to the more recent Kitchen Store extension to Block 06 and Blocks 08 and 04, nearby modular classroom units installed over the last five years. As such this is a maintenance/replacement task but it will lead to a change in the appearance of the building. Additional external works will also be carried out including the installation of insulation, the replacement of timber doors and frames, and the refreshment of paint coating on the Kitchen Store extension.
