Conversion of 5 existing buildings toThe planning permission granted under reference MC/13/1804 permits a mixed use within the approved red line site area including B1, A3 and an area of residential dwellings, as such the whole site (which includes the jetty) is not solely a B1 use. The main conditions controlling the B1 use are only intended to apply to the B1 units, otherwise using the A3 and residential properties would be in breach of the conditions which specifically relate to the B1 use, which cannot be the intention of these conditions. The jetty is positioned a significant distance from the low tide line, meaning the jetty always sits in deep water, which enables large water borne vessels to be moored. Any development seaward of the low water mark (as in this case) does not fall to be considered under the Town & Country Planning Act, it is covered by the Marine Planning Regime which is governed by the Marine Management Organisation (MMO) who would also be the enforcing body. The MMO can be contacted on info@marinemanagement.org.uk

What these statistics cover

These figures describe applications collected by PlanningTrack for Medway Council, across all dates currently available. They are a partial dataset, rather than an authority-wide performance measure. The date range does not establish continuous historical coverage.

The approval percentage is approved records divided by approved plus refused records. Pending, withdrawn and unknown outcomes are excluded. No percentage is shown until there is an approved or refused record.
