The Tree Preservation Order (TPO) that covers the tree in our garden is TPO 101209 (1970). The Oak tree is in it's die back stage. It is a number of years since significant dead wood has been removed. It is now necessary to have the dead wood removed as wood is falling from the tree even without any prevailing wind. It is not envisaged that any live wood will be removed unless absolutely necessary for safety reasons.
