Council planning record

The following proposal is an application to remove one cherry tree on the land to the rear of 43 Langdon Park Road. Works are soon to proceed related to the following case references; HGY/2023/1189, HGY/2023/2961. The proposals will develop a new extension to the original building after removing the current one. A small section of the garden will be landscaped by adding a new retaining wall and steps into the garden. Rory Hobbs of RH Tree Consultants was consulted in December 2023 to report on the condition of trees relative to the site prior to the approval of the planning applications listed above. The report found the following: T002 Cherry tree on boundary wall of 43 and 45 Langdon Park Road is not listed and is in fair physiological and structural condition. It has been compromised by prolific ivy growing around its trunk whilst historic suppression has led to the tree leaning over the garden of the neighbouring property, 45 Langdon Park Road. This application proposes to remove this tree. The treeworks will be carried out as part of the renovation works listed above. (Please note that the works to the Lime listed on the application form will be considered separately under application reference HGY/2024/0859, as the tree is protected by a TPO)
