[Description amended 07.05.2024] T1 - Italian cypress - Reduce height by 3.7m to 50% of overall height potential. T2 - Leyland cypress - Reduce height by 2m to below 50% of overall height potential. Reason: The subsidence risk that T1 and T2 poses to the adjacent property have been considered HIGH, based upon their proximity to structure which is damaged, their water extraction potential and the fact that they have never received any form of significant management. For these reasons, our recommendation is that these trees be reduced to the dimensions stated within APPENDIX A. On the balance of probabilities these trees are in some way contributory either through direct interaction or water extraction, and as such require an initiative-taking approach. Should any cracking of the property become further apparent then a structural engineer will be required to identify if this is a seasonal issue and therefore primarily associated with the adjacent trees.
