The proposal comprises the construction of a freestanding raised timber access platform adjacent to the rear elevation of the existing dwellinghouse.The platform will measure approximately 6.4 metres in length and 1.008 metres in width, with a finished floor level approximately 1.14 metres above the existing garden level to align with the threshold level of the existing rear doors.The proposal includes associated steps providing access between the platform and the rear garden, together with handrails and balustrading around the platform and stairway for safety purposes.
