  4. Decision MadePA/2026/0749

TPO 530 We propose to safely dismantle and remove three dead trees situated within the watercourse at the rear of the property. The trees in question include two dead oak trees and one dead ash tree. Many surrounding trees appear to be suffering from adverse ground conditions and high water levels, exacerbated by competition among themselves. The dead trees exhibit clear signs of decay and rotting, with branches shedding and falling into the neighboring property. The neighbor has expressed concerns regarding the potential for these trees to fall and damage their home, as well as worries about safety while they are in their garden.

  5. Under ConsultationPA/2026/0750

T1 (oak) Reduce the canopy back to, or close to, its previous pruning points to create a radial spread of c. 7m and overall height of c. 15m above ground level. Reduce or where applicable remove branches to achieve a 1.5m clearance from overhead services. Reason: To maintain an appropriate size and improve the relationship between the property and the tree - in line with previously approved applications. To prevent interference with overhead services. To increase the suitability of the roof for solar panel installation.

  7. Under ConsultationPA/2026/0752

T1 – Silver Birch – approximately 15m in height with a crown spread of 5m. Reduce the height of the crown by up to 6m, leaving a final height of approximately 9m, pruning back to suitable growth points where appropriate. Reason for the proposed works: The tree is in decline and the proposed reduction is intended to retain the tree for as long as reasonably practicable whilst reducing the likelihood of branch failure. This level of reduction would not normally be recommended for a healthy silver birch but is considered appropriate in view of the tree's current condition and the objective of prolonging its safe retention. T2 – Silver Birch – approximately 9m in height with a crown spread of 5m. Reduce the height of the crown by up to 2m, or back to the cavity if this is considered necessary following climbing inspection, pruning back to suitable growth points where practicable. Reason for the proposed works: The tree contains a cavity at approximately 6m above ground level. The proposed reduction is intended to continue the management of the tree, allowing its retention whilst maintaining the level of risk as low as reasonably practicable. The final extent of pruning will be determined following closer inspection of the cavity during the climbing operation.

    26 PARKWAY, CROWTHORNE, RG45 6EN

  8. Under ConsultationPA/2026/0753

T1 - 1 x Maple Tree at front - Reduce the entire crown by approximately 2–3 metres, pruning back to the previous reduction points where appropriate, whilst retaining a natural crown form. Remove any dead, damaged or crossing branches and reshape the crown to provide a balanced, sympathetic finish Reason The Maple has previously been crown reduced and has since produced significant regrowth beyond the historic pruning points. Returning the tree to its previous reduction points will maintain the established management regime, reduce end-weight on elongated secondary growth, improve crown structure and maintain appropriate clearance from parked vehicles and the adjacent driveway. The proposed works are maintenance in nature and will preserve the tree’s long-term health and amenity value whilst retaining its natural appearance.

This is an oak tree. 2 weeks ago a large branch fell off known as a summer drop. Called a tree specialist Sarah Ducksworth who also works with Bracknell council. Branch fell off whilst we were away on holiday. Went over neighbours fences. Since then has been cleared by tree specialist cleaning company.

T1 is currently in an advanced state of physiological and structural decline. Visual inspection from ground level reveals severe canopy thinning and widespread tip dieback throughout, which is strongly indicative of Ash Dieback (Hymenoscyphus fraxineus). The canopy contains a significant volume of major deadwood. While we recognise that deadwood removal is exempt under TPO regulations, its presence highlights the tree's overall trajectory and poor health. Furthermore, multiple cavities displaying extensive decay are visible from ground level, alongside several structural snap-out points where major limbs have previously failed. Given the structural defects, internal decay, and loss of structural timber, the tree exhibits unnatural movement during high-wind events, raising serious concerns regarding full or partial failure. While the main stem sits on the boundary, both properties (No. 15 and No. 16) and their outbuildings - specifically the garage at No. 16 - fall squarely within the tree's fall-zone target area. RSL therefore proposes the following management intervention: 1. Crown Reduction: Reduce the entire canopy by 3m-4m, cutting back to suitable, viable secondary lateral growth points to reduce wind sail and mechanical leverage on compromised limbs. 2. Crown Clean & Maintenance: Remove all major deadwood, damaged/snapped growth, crossing and rubbing branches, and heavily decayed limbs to eliminate immediate drop hazards. Objective: The primary goal of this specification is to alleviate weight and mechanical stress on compromised structural points, stabilising the tree and mitigating public safety risks as far as reasonably practicable, short of total removal, while it continues its natural decline. What these statistics cover

These figures describe applications collected by PlanningTrack for Bracknell Forest Council, across all dates currently available. They are a partial dataset, rather than an authority-wide performance measure. The date range does not establish continuous historical coverage.

The approval percentage is approved records divided by approved plus refused records. Pending, withdrawn and unknown outcomes are excluded. No percentage is shown until there is an approved or refused record.
