Search applications

Search collected summaries in ascending application-ID order. Pagination is not a frozen dataset; use the change feed to reconcile concurrent imports.

GET/v1/applications

Send a secret API key in Authorization: Bearer YOUR_API_KEY. Each successful request uses one of your 500 monthly requests.

Parameters

limitquery · optional

Page size. 1–100, default 50.

cursorquery · optional

Opaque cursor from this endpoint with the same filters. Keep it unchanged; page size may change.

authorityquery · optional

Authority ID, for example local-authority-oxo. Omit to search all authorities.

qquery · optional

Address, postcode, reference, or proposal text. All tokens must match. Partial words supported; numbers match exactly.

referencequery · optional

Exact case-insensitive council reference. Requires authority. Cannot combine with q.

lifecyclequery · optional

Normalised application stage: pending awaits a final decision; decided has a recorded decision; withdrawn was withdrawn; unknown cannot be classified from collected evidence.

outcomequery · optional

Normalised outcome. other is a published result outside approval/refusal/withdrawal; unknown means no classified outcome. Preserve original decision text for display.

Inclusive received date upper bound.

bboxquery · optional

west,south,east,north in WGS84. UK bounds: -9..3 longitude, 49..61 latitude. Maximum width and height: two degrees. Excludes records without coordinates.

Errors

Error codes, request IDs, retry behaviour, and allowance headers apply to every endpoint. Invalid or repeated query parameters return 400; unavailable records return 404. Source failures never become successful empty results.
