T1 Atlas Cedar (Cedrus atlantica) ? Routine Maintenance Existing height 14m, existing spread 12m. Crown reduce by approximately 2m in height and all aspects, targeting overextended limbs ? particularly on the sides facing the building and car park ? while preserving a balanced, natural flowing canopy characteristic of the species. Finished height 12m, finished spread 10?11m. Justification: The Atlas Cedar has developed overextended lateral growth on the sides facing the adjacent building and car park, increasing end-weight loading on affected limbs and encroaching on usable space below. A modest, proportionate reduction is proposed to redistribute weight back towards the stem, reduce wind-sail effect on the most exposed limbs, and re-establish appropriate clearance from the building and car park area. Pruning cuts will be made back to suitable growth points to retain the species' distinctive tiered, spreading habit and natural silhouette, avoiding a flush or unbalanced appearance. This is routine cyclical maintenance consistent with the tree's establishment pruning history, carried out in accordance with BS3998:2010 (Tree Work ? Recommendations), and will not adversely affect the tree's long-term health, structural integrity, or its continued positive contribution to the visual amenity of the site.

T1 - Plum - crown reduce 9m in height. Reduce height by 2m from 9m to 7m. Reduce laterals by 1m from 5m to 4m on all compass points. A mature Plum standing at the front of 38 Lock Chase in the communal area, occupying the planted bed between the building elevation and the pedestrian path. The tree has developed a broad, low, multi-stemmed form and the crown now extends over the path and across the front elevation of the terrace, reducing light to the ground floor rooms and limiting clearance over the access route. The extended lateral limbs carry considerable end-weight on the unions at the base of the multiple stems, where failure is a recognised risk in this form, and that load is directed over an area in regular use by the occupants. The proposed works are a light and proportionate crown reduction, taking the height and the lateral spread back to suitable growth points within the existing crown.

T1Sycamore (Acer pseudoplatanus)12m8mCrown reduce by 2?3m in height and spread, back to previous reduction points, to maintain current managed form9?10m5?6m T2Ash (Fraxinus excelsior)14m9mCrown reduce by 3?4m in height and spread, back to previous reduction points10?11m5?6m T3Lime (Tilia x europaea)13m8mCrown reduce by 2?3m in height and spread, back to previous reduction points Justification (BS5837:2012 ? Trees in relation to design, demolition and construction) All works proposed are cyclical maintenance pruning to previously established reduction points, in accordance with good arboricultural practice (BS3998:2010 Tree Work ? Recommendations). Reductions are proportionate, do not exceed 30% of the crown in any single operation, and will not affect the long-term health, form, or amenity value of the trees. The works are required to: Alleviate proximity to adjacent structures, boundaries and highway (Lawn Terrace / Paynell Ct) caused by regrowth since the last reduction cycle; Reduce risk of storm damage from wind-loading on over-extended limbs; Maintain light levels to adjoining properties and gardens; Retain the tree as a positive contributor to the character and amenity of the area, consistent with its category rating under BS5837:2012 (Table 1), with no loss of canopy cover below the tree's previously established managed dimensions.
